LIV Golf's Phil Mickelson can't stop going low with his new Callaway Apex irons
Phil Mickelson is hugely impressed with his new Callaway Apex irons.
LIV Golf's Phil Mickelson might not be having his greatest season to date but that could be about to change following his switch into the new Callaway Apex irons.
On the same day he heaped praise on Tiger Woods for becoming the sixth player director of the PGA Tour Policy Board, the six-time major champion revealed on Twitter he has been going crazy low over his last four rounds with his new set of Callaway sticks.
Mickelson, 53, has only been using the new 2023 Callaway Apex irons for the best part of a week but he is already mightily impressed following a pair of 67s, a 64 and 63 in his first four rounds with them.
That equates to an average of 65.25.

In response to a golf publication's article about the new Callaway Apex irons, Mickelson tweeted:
One golf fan then asked him:
To which Lefty replied:
Mickelson is competing in LIV Golf's 10th tournament of the season at the Greenbrier this week.
Other than his incredible tie for second at The Masters in April, Mickelson has picked up just two top-20 finishes on LIV Golf this season.
Lefty's best result on LIV Golf came with a T11 in Adelaide just after the first major of the season.
Mickelson finished T58 at the US PGA Championship before going on to miss the cut in both the US Open and The Open.
But with his new Callaway Apex irons seemingly already dialled in, it could be a prosperous end to the year for Mickelson.
