"Bryson is beyond a joke": social media reacts to DeChambeau's drives

Bryson DeChambeau continued to unleash yet more rockets one day one of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, averaging a monster 358 yards off the tee on day one. He even CARRIED it 343 yards down the 14th. 

DeChambeau, who fired an opening 6-under 66 to lie one stroke off the pace after the first round, hit one of the shots of Thursday when hitting his ball 376 yards down the par-5 14th, which ultimately resulted in an eagle-three when he converted his 33-foot putt.

The Mad Scientist revealed ahead of this week's tournament that he is drinking up to seven protein shakes a day as part of his new 'DeChambeau Diet'. 

DeChambeau's dramatic body transformation, which has seen him put on more than 20 pounds during lockdown, has resulted in a huge distance gains off the tee and that has been clear for all golf fans to see in recent weeks.
