Matthew Wolff breaks putter during LIV Golf Boston final round
Matthew Wolff has lost his cool before on the PGA Tour and did again in the final round of the LIV Golf Boston Invitational, kissing goodbye to his putter.
He may have joined a new tour, but Matthew Wolff still has that fire of anger in his belly that can be unleashed at any moment and we saw this many times on Sunday.
Wolff didn't produce his best golf in the final round of the LIV Golf Boston Invitational, limping to level-par 70 while the guys at the top were going very deep on their scorecards.
On the 16th hole, the 23-year-old missed a short putt for par and his anger overspilled. He leant on his putter and it bent at the neck, forcing him to use a wedge on the greens for the rest of the round. He also openly swore on a number of occasions on the broadcast.
He wasn't finished there. One of the commentators from LIV gave us further news of the whereabouts of his putter: "Matthew Wolff’s putter is deep in the woods, where the squirrels reside."

He finished on 8-under-par in tied 13th place which earned him a healthy $315,000 paycheck. Since joining the LIV Golf Series, he has recorded eighth place, second place and 13th place finishes.
In the first round at The International, Wolff made the first-ever hole-in-one on the par-3 2nd hole. The American raised the roof at the fourth event of the Saudi-backed series.

He was disqualified from The Masters in 2021 for signing for a wrong score in the second round in the same season when he came second behind Bryson DeChambeau at the US Open.
One of Wolff's biggest meltdowns on the golf course came at The Players Championship earlier this season. He threw his putter into the water on the 18th hole at TPC Sawgrass on his way to a second-round 81.
