Pro golfer makes 13 ON ONE HOLE in Korn Ferry Tour qualifying event
Chris Crisologo put a dent in his chances of earning some starts on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023 when he shot 9-over on one hole in the second round of Final Qualifying.
We have all made one score on one hole that has ruined our round in a weekly medal. When you have a disaster, it is hard to put it out of your mind.
If you have this problem, you should give Chris Crisologo a ring as he experienced this very situation while attempting to qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour.
The Canadian is looking to finish in the top 40 of the leaderboard in the final stage of the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying at The Landings Club in Savannah, Georgia.
This would guarantee him eight starts on the Tour in 2023, but he put a dent in his own chances during the second round on Saturday when he made an astronomical score on the par-4 13th hole.
Crisologo incurred four penalty strokes off the tee and after finding the fairway with his fifth ball, he finally made a 13. This is known as a noncuple-bogey which took his score to 5-over for the round having been 4-under.
If there is such a thing as an awesome 74, this would be it. Awesome job to play 2-under after 13. He’s currently T-66 and well within range of the all important Top 40.

But he didn't let this phase him. This was his only over-par score of the day surrounded by four birdies, an eagle and 12 pars. He carded a 3-over 74 which took him to 1-over and tied 66th place after 36 holes.
"Honestly, still in shock at what happened," said Crisologo.
"The wind was blowing pretty hard to the right. I normally hit draws. With the tee box up, I decided to take the driver out and see where it would get me. Ended up hooking that one out of bounds.
"Then we took 3-iron twice and ended up going through the fairway and bouncing out of bounds. Then I took a 4-iron, bounced out of bounds as well. Then finally got the fifth one in play.
"Second Stage is definitely the most stressful week of the year. Knowing you have Korn Ferry (Tour) status for next year, you can kind of just go out, play your game, see what happens and see where you sit at the end of the day."
With the top 40 players guaranteed playing rights next season, players outside of that bubble are only conditionally exempt on the Tour.
Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns are just some of the names to move on to the Korn Ferry Tour at the Final Stage, before gaining full status on the PGA Tour.
