DP1

Made from ultrasoft stainless steel for a great feel, the DP1 wedge features a milled face and 22 groove design which allows the club to grip the ball at impact and generate high spin rates. Finished with an anti-glare black finish, this wedge also features a sole design which creates less drag.

Feel

The DP1 is fine from full wedge distance but struggles around the greens when I lost feel and found it hard to judge distances. It has a slightly dull feel – not what I want around the greens.

Performance

The Dunlop DP1 is a challenge to chip with but for full wedge shots it doesn’t differ hugely from the premium products on the market. However from around the greens and in the bunker I noticed a lot less spin from the DP1 when compared to pricier clubs. You have to really work to get spin on the ball.

Appearance

The Dunlop has a classic wedge design. I’m not a huge fan of the finish as it’s a dull colour but it may be beneficial on bright days. Minimal branding which I’m a fan of.

Verdict

For the price its a fantastic wedge. Great on full wedge shots but not so good around the greens.
