LIV Golf leaderboard at PGA Championship: How all 16 finished at Quail Hollow
LIV Golf leaderboard at PGA Championship: Check out how all 16 players from the breakaway tour finished at the second men's major of the year.
The 107th edition of the PGA Championship featured 15 full-time LIV Golf players and one reserve from the breakaway tour.
Before the second men's major of the year began, it was argued Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka and Tyrrell Hatton represented the PIF-backed league's best hopes of lifting the Wanamaker Trophy.
Hatton was in the mix after 36 holes but his challenge faded over the weekend whilst three-time PGA Championship winner Koepka was among eight LIV players that missed the cut.
Koepka struggled considerably and was even involved in a heated exchange with a spectator who heckled him at Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina.
Former Open champion Cameron Smith, six-time major winner Phil Mickelson, former Masters champ Dustin Johnson were also among the group that exited the major at the halfway stage.
LIV reserve John Catlin, South Africa's Dean Burmester and former Ryder Cup stars Martin Kaymer and Patrick Reed also missed the cut.
Mickelson had a complete disaster on day two and returned a psychotic scorecard on Friday that contained seven birdies, four bogeys and a quadruple bogey eight after he took as many as four shots to escape the greenside bunker at the 12th hole.
DeChambeau and Rahm harboured slim hopes of reeling in eventual champion Scottie Scheffler before the final round began.
It was Rahm that emerged as the greatest threat to Scheffler and the Spaniard even drew level with the American at the turn.
But Rahm collapsed down the stretch, dropping five shots over three holes to ultimately in a finish in a tie for fourth with fellow LIV recruit Joaquin Niemann.
Niemann was handed a special invitation by the PGA of America to compete in the PGA Championship.
Sergio Garcia, Tom McKibbin and the aforementioned Johnson were also handed invites.
Garcia finished in a tie for 67th and later admitted if he were offered a spot in the European Ryder Cup team right now he would reject it as it would not be deserved.
Rahm's implosion meant DeChambeau topped the LIV Golf leaderboard at the PGA Championship.
