PGA Tour star and former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama is married the Mei Matsuyama.

Not much is known about his spouse.

Despite his success, the golfer likes to keep a low-profile off the course.

"Golf is golf," Matsuyama previously said when reporters tried to ask him why he is so secretive in that regard.

"Once we get on the golf course, that's what I'm thinking about," he added.

Mastuyama surprised reporters in 2017 shortly after he claimed the Northern Trust Open that he was married.

No details are in the public domain about where they tied the knot or how he popped the question.

"No one really asked me if I was married, so I didn't have to answer that question," he said at the time.

"But I felt that after the [2017] PGA would be a good time, because our baby is born and I thought that would be a good time to let everyone know

Matsuyama was referring to his daughter Kanna.

Matsuyama also acknowledged his family after he won the 2021 Masters

"I was thinking about them all the way around today," he said.
