US Open 2025 Live: Final round scores, leaderboard updates, tee times and highlights from Oakmont

US Open 2025 Live: Final round leaderboard, scores and updates from golf's third major of the season at famed Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

JJ Spaun has won his first major title on a rollercoaster final day at the 125th US Open.

The top of the leaderboard changed hands multiple times on a wet and wild Sunday at Oakmont Country Club.

But it was Spaun, 34, who held his nerve down the closing stretch to see out his first major title and second career win on Tour.

Spaun hit one of the shots of his life when sending his tee shot to 20 feet on the short par-4 17th.

He then two-putted from there to take a one-shot lead down the par-4 18th.

Spaun then finished in style on 18 with without question the putt of his life.

He split the fairway, found the heart of the green and then sunk a 50-footer for birdie to bring the house down in the pouring rain.

Spaun celebrated with his caddie and he was then joined at the back of the green by his wife and children.

The American was drawn to tears.

Spaun finished the week at 1-under par, a score many people predicted at the start of the week.

Robert MacIntyre charged late with a brilliant round of 2-under 70 in the testing conditions.

But the Scot had to settle for a solo second on 1-over par, a result that marks his best ever finish at a major.

A number of other players will look back and think what might have been in the final round of the US Open.

None more so than Sam Burns who was shockingly denied free relief from casual water in the fairway on the 15th, which led to a double bogey.

Burns and his playing partner Adam Scott ended up having a final round to forget and they were a combined 17-over par.

Tyrrell Hatton also had every chance to win his first major but the Englishman was left to rue duffing two chip shots in the right rough en route to a costly bogey on the short par-4 17th.

Viktor Hovland ended up finishing in solo third on 2-over par, one shot ahead of Cameron Young and LIV Golf duo Hatton and Carlos Ortiz.

Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm backdoored a top-10 finish.

Spaun pockets a first prize cheque of $4.3m, and he also now gives himself every chance of earning a first appearance in the US Ryder Cup team this September.

Burns leads by two

Burns -3, Scott -1 (3)

Burns two-putts from 25 feet for par.

Burns two ahead.

19:56

Young has given back his good work.

Two bogeys in a row send him back where he started the day at 3-over.

19:53
Hatton birdie

Hatton +1 (4)

Hatton misses an eight footer for eagle.

It's a tap in birdie and he's back to 1-over.

19:50
Bogeys for Spaun and Hovland

Spaun Par, Hovland +1 (3)

It's a third bogey in a row for Spaun.

Hovland misses a four footer for par.

Bogeys all round. Not good.

19:41
Bogey for Burns

Burns -3, Scott -2 (2)

Burns three-putts from long range and he's now just one shot clear on 3-under.

Scott misses a 12 footer for birdie and then taps in for a safe par.

19:35
Bob Mac eagle

MacIntyre +3 (4)

MacIntyre drains an eagle bomb on the par-5 4th.

It's the first eagle of his US Open career.

Back up to 3-over where he started.

19:34
Bogeys for Spaun and Hovland

Spaun -1, Hovland Par (2)

Back to back bogeys for Spaun.

He clattered the pin with his approach shot into the par-4 2nd and his ball ended up finishing back down the fairway.

An unlucky break but a poor start.

Hovland finds the bunker off the tee and then deep rough with his approach shot.

He then misses a six footer for par.

Bogey for Hovland and to level par.

19:32
Scheffler birdie

Scheffler +4 (6)

Scheffler holes a 15 footer for birdie at 6.

Eight back.

19:29
Burns two ahead

Burns -4, Scott -2 (1)

Scott finds the left rough with his approach shot and he holes a good six-footer for bogey in the end.

Burns two-putts from 30 feet for a safe par to move two shots ahead.

19:20
Hovland par at 1

Hovland -1 (1)

Steady golf for Hovland at 1.

Fairway, green, two putt.

Remains in solo fourth.

19:18

Spaun -2 (1)

Spaun hacks his way to a bogey on 1.

Back to 2-under in solo third.

19:11
Young birdie

Young +1 (3)

Here comes Cameron!

Two early birdies for our 100/1 pick.

Young drains it from 30 feet at 3.

Definitely not out of this yet.

19:08
Ortiz bogey

Ortiz +1 (1)

Ortiz follows Hatton in for bogey.

Not a good start for the LIV Golf men.

19:07
Hatton bogey

Hatton +3 (1)

Hatton three jabs at 1st.

Bogey from nowhere.

Back to 3-over par.

19:03
Young birdie

Young +2 (2)

Cam Young, my 100/1 tip for you at the start of the week, has just sent home a birdie on the par-4 2nd.

Young to 2-over.

Not out of it just yet.

19:00
Schauffele finishing well

Schauffele +4 (12)

A third birdie of the round for Schauffele who nudges up to 4-over.

Not going to be a third major for him but a solid finish for sure.

18:57
Lawrence bogey

Lawrence +2 (1)

Lawrence finds trouble off the tee and ends up walking away with a bogey.

The South African back into the pack on 2-over.

Incredibly he missed seven of his last eight cuts on Tour heading into the US Open.

It's therefore a confidence builder for him.

Thriston Lawrence
Thriston Lawrence
18:57
MacIntyre bogey at 1

MacIntyre +4 (1)

Probably Bob's chance gone at the 1st.

A bogey sends him to 4-over and eight back.

18:51
Scheffler double

Scheffler +6 (3)

That's Scheffler gone.

Double at 3 and he's out of it.

Scottie Scheffler

McIlroy closes with 67

McIlroy +7 (F)

McIlroy pars 18 to card a 67.

That's the lowest round of the day.

7-over is T30  as it stands.

Nice finish but not the week Rory wanted.

18:40
Detry bogey

Detry +4 (8)

Detry bogeys the par-3 8th.

Back outside the top 10.

18:39
Scheffler back in church pews again

Scheffler +4 (2)

Scheffler makes par on 2 and then finds the Church Pews once again this week on 3.

Not the start he was looking for and a likely bogey upcoming.

18:35
McIlroy birdie

McIlroy +7 (17)

McIlroy two-putts from 20 feet for birdie on the par-4 17th.

He moves to 3-under for the round.

That's the lowest on the course today.

A solid finish for McIlroy, who looks a lot chirpier than yesterday.
