He is four shots behind the leader Cameron Young...
Tiger Woods has three-putted the 4th hole at St Andrews and he is now 4-over-par for his day.
The 46-year-old started with a double-bogey and with the par-5 5th hole up next, he will need to make a birdie to bring his round back to life...

According to a report from the Daily Mail, LIV Golf defectors could be banned from playing majors in 2023.
The PGA Tour is about to begin a legal battle with LIV Golf over players who have been given suspensions and this could continue if the major organisations follow suit.
Earlier in the week at St Andrews, R&A chief executive Martin Slumbers said that banning players wasn't on the agenda, but the criteria for exemptions could be altered for future championships...
After driving the 18th hole with a 2-iron, Rory McIlroy birdies the final hole on Thursday to card a round of 6-under-par.
He is two shots behind the leader Cameron Young and he will tee off at 2.59 pm on Friday in hot pursuit of his fifth major victory.
His playing partners Xander Schauffele shot 3-under-par and defending champion Collin Morikawa carded a level-par 72.
Paul Casey has only made six appearances on the PGA Tour this season and this is his first start since the Dell Technologies Match Play in March.
The Englishman rolled in an 11-foot putt on the 8th hole to reach 4-under-par for the week.
Casey recently announced that he has joined the LIV Golf Invitational Series...
Young -8 (64)

He's playing with Justin Thomas who is on the same score and Shane Lowry who is level par.
Scottie Scheffler keeps the momentum going with a big par putt at No. 6 to stay at 3-under.
Rory McIlroy plays an odd second shot at 17, but he still grinds out a par to remain at 5-under.
Tiger Woods has had a dreadful start and he's got work to do now.
His second shot found the Swilcan Burn and despite playing a good recovery shot he misses his bogey putt from 18 inches.
His playing partners Max Homa and Matt Fitzpatrick make safe pars to begin with.
Tiger Woods plays a neat chip over the Swilcan Burn and should make an opening bogey.
Meanwhile, it's bread and butter for Rory McIlroy at 17 and he hits a wonderful drive.
Elsewhere, Scottie Scheffler has picked up another birdie at No. 5.
This is a really good start from the Masters champion.
LIV Golf player Paul Casey has also started well and is at 3-under.
Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth have hit their opening tee shots.
They are playing with American Harold Varner III, who is yet to win on the PGA Tour.
Varner III did win the Saudi International earlier in the year with a monster eagle putt at the 72nd...
This is not the start Tiger fans dreamt.
He's in a divot playing his second at the first and he gets a face full of sand as he tries desperately to trap the ball.
Woods can only helplessly watch on as his golf ball sails straight into the water!
He's playing his fourth shot now....
Rory McIlroy has no chance at 16.
He's short and left of the green but his chip races away and off the putting surface.
A tricky up and down there to try and save par.
No dramas for Tiger Woods.
He hits his famous stinger into the breeze and finds the fairway...but it looks like he might've found a divot.
England's Matt Fitzpatrick takes a 3-wood and is fine, whilst Max Homa also hits a low one with an iron.
Strap in.
The group receive a warm reception as they take a stroll down the fairway.
Woods appears to be moving okay...
Tiger Woods takes an easy stroll from the putting green over to the first tee...
It's all gone wrong for Ernie Els at 17.
He's sliced his drive out of bounds and cards an ugly double bogey six.
That was off the back of a bogey at 16.
Still, he's at 2-under going into 18 and knows he can still pick up a shot...
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler moves it to 2-under par.
He gets a bonus birdie on No. 4.
Thanks Matt.
It's almost big cat time.
Are you as excited as I am?
The GOAT, taking surely one last run at the Home of Golf...
My word. I know it's boring, and I know it's tedious to constantly read about Tiger.
But this is an incredible moment.

He chose to take a penalty drop instead of attempting the miracle shot and he managed to get up and down for a great par.
The young Norwegian is 2-under-par for the week...
Small bunker directly in line with the pin on the drivable 12th.
Miss it and you’re putting for eagle.
Hit it and now you’re grinding for par.
